When asked what you can't do in the house, I always told my customers the only things that we were really missing were Oven Cleaners and Drain Cleaners. Well, this year we got them both!
Since I have a self cleaning oven, I wasn't really suffering for an Oven Cleaner. However, I am really happy to see the Drain Cleaner arrive. We had long since given up the commercial drain cleaners as we live in an older home and they simply eat our copper pipes. For years we were down to plungers and snaking.
The new Drain Cleaner is a welcome addition to our cleaning arsenal. I put it to work the first night after receiving my jar of cleaner. I'm afraid I went a little overboard for the first time! For plugged drains you are supposed to use two scoops and 4 oz. of hot water. For slow drains, you use one scoop and 4 oz. of hot water. For best results, treat the drains right before you go to bed and leave them overnight.
In my exuberance, I put 2 scoops each down the bathtub drain, bathroom sink, and kitchen sink.
You should have seen those enzymes work!! The water makes the crystals foam up and did they foam! But by morning the drains couldn't keep up, no matter how fast I ran the water.
